Ball Boss

Touch, control, and the seven foundation moves.

About Ball Boss

Seven foundation movements. Train them at your own pace — tick each one off as you work on it. When they all feel solid, show Glen or Jeff: the Ball Boss button is for doing every movement well, not for a number.

Train

Open one skill. Tick it when you've worked it.

Toe Taps

Coach cues

  • Ball stays under you, not out in front
  • Light touches, not stomps
  • Eyes up between touches

Try for

10 in a row, comfortable pace, without looking down.

Why this skill?

Quick, light touches with the top of your foot — the first feel for the ball everything else builds on.

Sole Rolls

Coach cues

  • Ball under the sole, not the toe
  • Small, quiet rolls
  • Both directions, not just one

Try for

10 in a row, no looking down.

Why this skill?

Close control with the bottom of your foot — rolling the ball instead of pushing it away.

Bell Taps

Coach cues

  • Inside of the foot only
  • Ball barely moves, your feet do the work
  • Stay light on your feet

Try for

10 in a row, comfortable pace.

Why this skill?

Switching the inside of one foot to the inside of the other, like a bell swinging side to side.

V Cut Inside

Coach cues

  • Cut it hard, not soft
  • Push off the outside foot
  • Head up before you cut

Try for

10 in a row, without the ball drifting away.

Why this skill?

Changing direction sharply by cutting the ball inside with one touch.

V Cut Outside

Coach cues

  • Same sharp cut, other direction
  • Keep the ball close on the turn
  • Alternate which foot leads

Try for

10 in a row, without the ball drifting away.

Why this skill?

The same sharp change of direction, this time cutting the ball back outside.

Inside–Outside Touches — Right

Coach cues

  • Right foot only
  • Inside touch, then outside touch — one motion
  • Find a rhythm before you speed up

Try for

10 in a row, right foot only.

Why this skill?

Rolling the ball from the inside to the outside of your right foot without breaking rhythm.

Inside–Outside Touches — Left

Coach cues

  • Left foot only
  • Same rhythm as the right foot
  • This one's supposed to feel harder — that's the point

Try for

10 in a row, left foot only.

Why this skill?

The same inside-outside rhythm, now with your other foot.
